The Form automation generates a new, customized internal form each time a submission enters a particular stage. Think of the custom form as a form for internal use, where members of your team can fill out this secondary form with information and data regarding an external submission.
For example, if you had a workflow that kicks off with a person signing up for an interviews you may want to generate a secondary 'Interview Feedback' Form in the 'Interview Complete' stage. This custom form may include fields for the interviewer to provide feedback on the interview.
Often a workflow requires input and information from different departments. The customer may initiate the request, and support, legal, finance and/or management may each need to weigh in. You can use Form action items to gather information from each party. Any downstream action items can also access these data fields.
